Insurance and billing questions

Is Count Medical and Diagnostic Limited an SHA accredited hospital in Garissa?
Yes. We are an accredited Social Health Authority (SHA) facility, so SHA members can be served at our Garissa Ndogo hospital. Bring your SHA registration details and national ID to reception.
Which insurance covers are accepted?
We work with SHA (Social Health Authority), Mwalimu Comprehensive Medical Cover, Usalama Cover, Britam, MUA, CIC Group and Trident Insurance. If your insurer is not listed, our billing desk can advise on cash rates before treatment.
What should I bring to use my cover?
Bring your insurance membership card and your national ID. Reception verifies your benefits with the insurer before treatment begins.
Will I know the cost before treatment?
Yes. Once your benefits are confirmed we tell you upfront what your cover pays for and what, if anything, you will pay out of pocket.
Does insurance cover maternity and emergency care?
Maternity and 24-hour emergency care are billed through your cover where your policy allows. For emergencies we stabilise the patient first and complete billing afterwards.
