The first assessment point in the hospital. Vitals are taken here and urgent cases are fast-tracked to emergency care.
What to expect
- Blood pressure, temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation and weight recorded.
- A nurse decides how urgently you need to be seen.
- Critically ill patients are moved straight to resuscitation.
