Where you are monitored closely immediately after surgery until you are awake, stable and comfortable.
What to expect
- Continuous monitoring of breathing, pulse and blood pressure.
- Pain relief given as soon as you need it.
- Transfer to the ward only when the anaesthetist is satisfied.
Availability
Open whenever theatre is running — including overnight emergencies.
